Job Summary: Process Engineer

Your tasks

Job Summary:    

This position is responsible for assisting in the development of all production products, tooling check and pre-production runs.  Responsible for the development of a product that can be manufactured in collaboration with R&D.  Works closely with all engineering and quality to maintain world class quality and competitive costing.  Develops and strengthens  processes that focus on quality on-time delivery and must be operator friendly.  Create equipment specifications, order and coordinate the installation of such equipment while maintaining the high standards of manufacturing safety. Define and review process setting/specifications for existing and new products.

  • Works to develop products and processes that are production viable
  • Maintains a high degree of testing capability to complement seal development and to produce customer support
  • Applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Requires the use of advanced techniques and modifications, extension of theories, precepts and practices
  • Establish process flows and standards for operations to manufacture
  • Monitor non-conforming rate by part and process with a goal of reducing non-value added operations
  • Develop and maintain project list and activity log while working to improve and support daily production requirements
  • Support tool and sample reviews including validation processes
  • Ability to understand the technical aspect of the written specifications involving process design and application
  • Requires on-the-job experience with area production parts and process
  • Travel and overtime may be required
  • Perform routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks
  • Requires problem solving and decision making ability with positive human relation skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Our requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Textile, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Experience in process control and product development
  • Must exhibit good communication, project management, and interpersonal skills and, given some direction, have the ability to manage his/her own priorities and workload while working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Systems and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • BSME Degree preferred
  • Extrusion / PET / Non-Woven material experience desired
